Ballesteros Course at Club de Campo in Madrid

Following a public tender, Olazabal Design was selected to renew the back nine holes of the Yellow Course, originally designed by Severiano Ballesteros, at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid in Spain. Once complete, the project will allow Club de Campo to offer two top-quality 18-hole layouts just 10 minutes from the centre of Madrid. "It is a great joy for the club that a figure of the status of Jose María Olazábal will build upon Seve Ballesteros' legacy with the renewal of the Yellow Course," said Juan Carlos Vera Pro (pictured left), Director of Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, and added: "Preserving Seve’s essence will be an important part of this project, and there is no better designer in the game to meet this objective."

Education City Golf Club

Golf course construction is about to be completed at Education City Golf Club, the new golf facility of Qatar Foundation in Doha. This first design work of Jose Maria Olazabal and our firm in the Gulf region will include an 18-hole championship course and two floodlit 9-hole and 6-hole courses as well as extraordinarily generous practice facilities. The vision of Education City Golf Club is to design, build and operate a golf facility that honours education, innovation, sustainability, and culture, ultimately becoming the vehicle that grows the game of golf in Qatar. The club strives to make the game of golf more approachable and enjoyable to the future golfer and hopes to encourage, stimulate and motivate the non-golfer to take up the game, whilst also delivering world-class playing experience for the experienced golfer.
